My my my. We've certainly got ourselves one heck of a roster of newcomers, don't we? Let's list 'em all, shall we?
( NOTE. I DIDN'T INCLUDE THE MORE CLONE-LIKE CHARACTERS DUE TO SPACE):

1. A British swordsman who can forsee the future (Shulk)

2. 8 turtle... dino-dragon siblings (Koopalings)

3. A walking talking yellow ball that eats ghosts (Pacman)

4. A creepy villager from a town full of animals (Villager)

5. A dog that loves to laugh at you if you don't shoot a bunch of ducks (Duck Hunt)

6. A super fighting robot that blows up other super fighting robots (Megaman)

7. A goddess of light (Palutena)

8. A guardian of the galaxy... no, not the movie (Rosalina)

9. A mage that cycles through a book and 2 swords (Robin)

10. A mannequin that'll burn your calories... and then the rest of your body (Wii Fit Trainer)

11. A small boxer who dreams of fighting against the greatest fighters in the word (Little Mac)

12. A ninja frog that uses it's tongue as a scraf... that's just plain awesome.

... and to top it all off, we finally get to see the true form of the creators of the Smash Bros universe ( Master and Crazy Hand), Master Core!
